The Last Body of the Tech Mogul's 18-Year-Old Daughter is Found on the Sunken Luxury Yacht
Mike Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah Lynch, is a tech entrepreneur.
The Italian Coast Guard announced that search and rescue teams have found the last missing person from a luxury superyacht that sank off the coast of Sicily.
On Friday, the wreckage was searched and the woman's body was found. However, her identity remains unknown.
The body of Hannah Lynch, the 18-year-old daughter of British tech magnate Mike Lynch, is likely to be found.
On Monday, the Bayesian, a 184-foot British-flagged yacht, capsized and sank while anchored off the coast of northern Sicily, with the Lynch family aboard.
The Bayesian, with 12 passengers and 10 crew members on board, sank within minutes of being hit by a predawn storm, resulting in a total of 22 people on board.
Six people died in the incident.
On Thursday, Mike Lynch's body was discovered and it appeared that he was on the ship with his acquaintances to commemorate his recent acquittal in a U.S. fraud trial, which they had supported throughout the proceedings.
Both Christopher Morvillo, an American lawyer with Clifford Chance who defended Lynch in the fraud case, and Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of Morgan Stanley International who testified in Lynch’s defense, passed away.
Neda, Morvillo's wife, and Judy, Bloomer's wife, were also among the missing.
The Bayesian, now resting 164 feet underwater on the seabed, has been the focus of divers' search for the missing.
Officials believe the ship was hit by a waterspout, a tornado over water, around 5 a.m. Monday near Porticello, causing it to sink quickly.
