The former neighbor of the Trump assassination attempt suspect claims the family was "odd," and they kept a "horse in the house."
In Greensboro, NC, a neighbor of Ryan Routh, the suspect in the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, claimed that he kept a "live horse" in his living room.
Ryan Routh, the suspect in the failed Trump assassination attempt, has a significant criminal history in Guilford County, North Carolina, where he previously resided in Greensboro.
Routh's arrest record in Guilford County encompasses a range of charges from the 1980s to 2010, including writing multiple bad checks, felony firearm possession, possession of a stolen vehicle, and multiple counts of possessing a weapon of mass destruction, specifically, a "binary explosive with a 10-in[ch] detonation cord and a blasting cap" in 2002.
The neighbor who has known Routh for 18 years, since he left his Greensboro home empty for at least a year after moving to Hawaii, described his family as "weird" to reporters outside her home next to Routh's former North Carolina residence.
Kim Mungo stated that she had a live horse in her house, which was "kind of weird." However, she didn't let it bother her or the guns and other items in the house.
Mungo added, "I told all my friends because they didn't believe me."
On Sunday, she informed law enforcement that she had verified a photo of Routh, the owner of United Roofing in Greensboro, through reporters.
Mungo remarked that it was astonishing to him that he was a good and sweet person. He also stated that his daughter was similar to her own daughter, and he would occasionally drive Routh's daughter to school, despite not speaking to them regularly.
She said the family never expressed any strong political views.
Routh, who was allegedly involved in a suspected assassination attempt, was not known to other neighbors who spoke with Planet Chronicle Digital. They were surprised to learn of his involvement.
After divorcing in 2003, Routh's daughter resided with him "full time," while their son lived with Routh's ex-wife.
According to a neighbor, the suspect's ex-wife now resides with her more recent husband and they seem to be living a normal life. The neighbor also stated that he saw what appeared to be police activity at their home on Sunday evening following Ryan Routh's detention after the incident at Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach.
In 2009, Routh's ex-wife raised concerns about the suspect's "financial status" and decided to end child support payments.
Routh was accused of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon and a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Further charges may be filed in the future.
Routh's public defender did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital.
