In 2007, Brian Driscoll became a member of the FBI.
On Monday, President Trump appointed Brian Driscoll as the acting director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), signaling one of his first actions on Inauguration Day.
Recently, Driscoll was appointed to head the FBI's Newark branch.
The FBI website states that Driscoll joined the agency as a special agent in 2007. He has worked at the New York field office and was a member of the FBI's SWAT team.
FBI acting director Paul Abbate retired on Monday, and Trump took office shortly after the announcement.
