The deadly California wildfires are being monitored by space satellites.
Nearly a dozen California fires have caused devastation, as shown by satellite imagery.
CIRA released a time-lapse video of the California wildfires, which began on Tuesday and have forced 100,000 people to evacuate their homes.
At least 28,000 structures are under threat from the eight wildfires in the LA area, including the Palisades Fire, the Eaton Fire, the Hurst Fire, the Olivas Fire, the Lidia Fire, the Scout Fire, the Sunset Fire, and the Woodley Fire, as reported by Planet Chronicle Digital.
On Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. local time, footage from CIRA satellites revealed the Palisades Fire starting near Malibu and Santa Monica.
On Wednesday night, CIRA reported that the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire are rapidly expanding near Los Angeles, with both fires having burned over 10,000 acres.
The Palisades Fire is already responsible for burning nearly 16,000 acres.
As of 9 p.m. Wednesday, the Eaton and Hurst fires, which started hours later, have burned a combined total of over 11,000 acres, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Officials report that the fires that started in Los Angeles, Riverside, and Ventura counties on Wednesday have burned over 400 acres and are expected to continue. However, only the Lidia Fire is fully contained.
By Wednesday afternoon, over 3 million people in Los Angeles County were without power, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.
