The DA is considering seeking the death penalty for illegal immigrants accused in the Nungaray murder case.
Nungaray was allegedly sexually assaulted and then killed by migrants.
In June, Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl, was killed by two illegal migrants from Venezuela, and now prosecutors in Texas are seeking the death penalty for these individuals.
In September, Franklin Pena, 26, and Johan Martinez-Rangel, 22, were indicted on capital murder charges for the murder of Nungaray. According to documents, Pena and Rangel kidnapped Nungaray and caused her death by applying pressure to her neck. Additionally, they are accused of sexually assaulting her before leaving her body under a bridge.
On Friday, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced that her office is seeking the death penalty for both individuals.
