Thanksgiving Eve sees tragic Cybertruck accident resulting in college student fatalities
On Thanksgiving Eve, a Tesla CyberTruck accident resulted in the deaths of Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara, with a fourth person sustaining serious injuries.
On Thanksgiving Eve, three college students were killed and another was injured in a fatal crash, as identified by the City of Piedmont.
According to the Piedmont Police Department, Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara, all recent graduates of Piedmont High School in California, tragically perished in a single vehicle collision that left them fully engulfed in flames.
The Cybertruck on fire was discovered by responding officers after they received an alert from an iPhone and a 911 call about the accident.
The accident resulted in the death of three out of four occupants, while the fourth, 20-year-old Jordan Miller, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
On Tuesday, the City of Piedmont issued a statement emphasizing the need to provide families with room during this challenging period.
"Piedmont Mayor Jen Cavenaugh expressed her admiration for the unity of the small community in providing comfort to families during a difficult time. The support shown during the Turkey Trot and vigil was impressive. However, it is important to respect the privacy of the victims' families and allow them to grieve in peace."

Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our cherished son, brother, and friend Soren Dixon. Soren was renowned for his boundless enthusiasm for life, his infectious smile, his deep love for family and friends, his fervor for sports, and his profound affection for all animals, particularly his beloved dog, Ruby. Soren had a remarkable ability to light up a room, make friends effortlessly, smile and laugh frequently, and make everyone feel welcomed and valued.
"He was a kind and gentle soul who touched everyone around him. He had a wide circle of friends and a close relationship with his brothers Colin and Aidan. He accepted challenges readily, whether in academics or on the athletic field, and was an ambitious, dedicated student and a team player in sports and in life. He will always be in our hearts and in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him."

Jack Nelson, our cherished son and brother, has left us with a profound sense of loss. He was a vibrant individual who touched the lives of many through his compassion and exuberance. Jack was an outstanding athlete and had a deep passion for the outdoors, frequently embarking on thrilling escapades from the seashore to the peaks.
"Jack was deeply devoted to others, a loyal and loving friend, and proudly shared his faith through the cross he wore daily. He will always be a cherished member of our family, even though his time with us was cut tragically short. We find solace in the knowledge that his memory will endure for all who knew him."

"Krysta Tsukahara, a graduate of Piedmont High School Class of 2023 and a sophomore at SCAD, was a kind and sensitive individual who was loved deeply by her family and friends. She had an incredible eye for style and design, and her loss is deeply felt."
Piedmont Police Chief Jeremy Bowers stated that the official cause of the collision is still being investigated.
