Pregnant woman's family expresses doubts about her disappearance.
Over three months ago, Emma Baum, a 25-year-old mother of three, vanished in Gary, Indiana.
An Indiana woman vanished three months ago, nine months pregnant, and her family harbors doubts about her final location.
Emma Baum, a 25-year-old mother of three, disappeared in Gary, Indiana, on October 10th, just before delivering her fourth child.
According to Hailey Baum-Waddell, the last sighting of Baum was when she was being dropped off at her boyfriend's house, as reported by Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Emma's search has been a challenging task for everyone, both mentally, physically, and emotionally. However, we will not stop looking for her. Baum-Waddell believes that if people continue to chant that something needs to be done and keep Emma's name in the spotlight, more people will become aware of the situation."
Gary Police Cmdr. Jack Hamady informed Planet Chronicle Digital on Oct. 28 that Baum's family had filed a missing persons report.
A few days passed, and we all began messaging each other, asking about Emma and trying to locate her boyfriend. It was a circular conversation with everyone trying to solve the mystery.
"My mom started to panic when she realized that what was happening was not normal. Eventually, she went to the police station."
The Gary Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff's Department have collaborated on several searches in the area, with officers utilizing K-9s in the process, according to Hamady.
He mentioned that we searched a house, apartment, recreational vehicles, and another property.
Baum-Waddell stated that in addition to the police investigation, she and other relatives of Baum have been coordinating a large-scale search following a social media post by Baum that attracted hundreds of volunteers.
""We've talked it over with other search groups and I made a post online asking for volunteers to come out and look for her," she said."
Baum, who resided in Portage, Indiana, was last seen while visiting her boyfriend in Gary.
Baum-Waddell stated that her sister did not have a functioning phone when she vanished, and although her sister might occasionally go off and do her own thing for several days, she would never disappear for an extended period.
"She was supposed to go to the phone store with her boyfriend and get the phone activated, but she never did. She's been completely silent on everything, which is not like her."
Baum-Waddell spoke about her sister's commitment as a mother and the strong bond she shares with her eldest son.
"She shared that they have an unbreakable bond that is so strong and unbreakable. It's unbelievable that she won't be here to see him on Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year's. There's no way she would do that to him."
Baum-Waddell suspects her sister's boyfriend is concealing information, as she shared with Planet Chronicle Digital. Meanwhile, Baum's mother believes the boyfriend may be responsible for her sister's disappearance, according to WGN9.
"Hamady stated that no one has been charged with Emma Baum's disappearance, and she has not been found yet. The search and interviews with individuals associated with the case continue."
Hamady added that Baum's boyfriend, who was originally in custody for an unrelated case, was released from Lake County Jail and is now awaiting his court date for the separate charges.

Emma gave everyone all the love she could, and her sister, Baum-Waddell emotionally said, had big brown eyes and always wanted to make people laugh, feel good about themselves, or feel included.
"It's challenging because now it's not just her that's missing, but her baby too. You don't want to think about the worst-case scenario because who would want to harm a girl and her baby?" she said. "All we're hoping for is that she's safe."
