Authorities are seeking a robbery crew in New York City after the theft of ATMs and tens of thousands of dollars in cash from 49 stores across the city in three months, according to officials.
Between Sept. 19 and Dec. 26, a trio of burglars targeted 49 stores in Upper Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens, according to police, as reported by the New York Post.
Police said that the group stole ATMs from inside stores, made off with cash and other goods, and sped away in stolen getaway cars.
The NYPD did not immediately respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for more information.
The burglary group stole $40,000 in cash from two robberies in September, but the total dollar amount from the stolen ATMs over the three-month period was uncertain, according to police.
On Saturday, the NYPD made public surveillance footage of two suspects removing an ATM from a store.
Police have yet to make any arrests.
The public was requested by authorities to provide any information regarding the suspects involved in the burglary pattern.
In 2024, there was a 6% decrease in burglaries reported citywide compared to the previous year.
