Police officers ambushed by migrants with loaded AR-15s in a deep blue city, only to have the attackers released.
In the Bronx, two individuals assaulted law enforcement officers while attempting to evade arrest for trespassing.
Two police officers were attacked by a suspected pair of migrants, one of whom was armed with a loaded machine-gun, in New York City last week.
On November 5th at approximately 4:30 PM, Abraham Sosa, a 20-year-old man residing above a day care center in the Bronx, was discovered trespassing and urinating in an unauthorized tunnel area of a Bronx subway station. When police confronted him, he refused to provide identification, according to the NYPD.
Police say that Sosa resisted arrest on the northbound platform of the Kingsbridge subway station by stiffening his arms and refusing to be handcuffed.
Mayren, 20, intervened in the arrest, causing a brief struggle.

According to police, a loaded and defaced Palmetto State Armory PA-15 firearm fell out of Sosa's backpack during the altercation.
One of the officer's body cameras was kicked onto the subway track by Mayren.
Mayren was later discovered with one of the officer's cell phones after both were arrested.
During the struggle, two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals. According to a criminal complaint, they were both knocked to the ground.
A multitude of charges were brought against Sosa, including possession of a machine gun, a loaded firearm, and a defaced weapon, as well as resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
In addition to trespassing, assaulting a police officer, and assault, he was also charged with 25 counts of criminal possession of a weapon with a bullet, according to police.
Mayren was accused of obstructing governmental administration, committing criminal mischief, possessing stolen property, stealing small items, and harassing individuals.
According to the Bronx District Attorney's Office, Mayren was released without bail while Sosa was sent to Rikers Island on a $25,000 bond, which he posted on November 12.
The NYPD confirms to Planet Chronicle Digital that neither Sosa nor Mayren have any prior arrests.
Sosa initially claimed he had hurt his ankle.
According to the criminal complaint, the officers asked Sosa, "Really? You're being charged for using the bathroom?"
""I hurt my ankle, but let me show it to you," he said."
According to the New York Post, based on sources, the two suspects are migrants. It is reported that a tattoo on Mayren's arm connects him to a dangerous drug cartel.
ICE is prohibited by law from revealing a person's immigration status. Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to ICE for more information on their immigration status.
A Bronx detective told The Post Thursday that it was insane to have a member of a Mexican cartel operating in the area. The tattoo on the individual served as a clear message that they were a criminal and did not respect the laws.
"Are there any more dangerous situations than carrying a loaded rifle on a subway and being in a day care center with young children?" they remarked. "These are two extremely risky circumstances."
Previously, migrants have been accused of attacking New York City's finest.
A video of migrants kicking two police officers in Times Square in January has gone viral, causing a national outcry.
