Police arrest high school teacher for selling THC and nicotine vape cartridges to students.
Investigators allege that Kaitlyn Crescent was employed at Falls Church High School in Virginia.
A former high school teacher in Virginia is currently facing charges for allegedly selling vape cartridges containing THC and nicotine to students.
Last week, the Fairfax County Police Department arrested Kaitlyn Crescent for the alleged incidents at Falls Church High School.
A teacher was found to be selling vape cartridges to students at school, prompting Child Protective Services to launch an investigation.
Kaitlyn Cresent, 28, of Alexandria, was found to have sold vape cartridges containing nicotine and THC to four students between December 2023 and June 2024.
Crescent was charged with several offenses, including Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Distribution of a Controlled Substance on School Property, and Distribution of Tobacco/Hemp to a Minor, according to police.
"She was placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed with Fairfax County Public Schools," they added. "Cresent was held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $4,000 bond."
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive a response from Fairfax County Public Schools on Monday.
Crescent, a learning disabilities teacher, began working at Falls Church High School in August 2022, according to her LinkedIn page.
Anyone with information about the case is being sought out by investigators.
