Pennsylvania McDonald's detains suspect in UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case.
An individual of interest in the UnitedJHealth CEO murder was apprehended at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
On Monday, a person of interest in the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was apprehended at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania and held for questioning, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
The New York Post reported that the person involved in the Wednesday shooting had a similar gun and silencer, as well as four fake IDs and a manifesto.
According to a senior law enforcement official, the document contained criticism of health care companies for prioritizing profits over care.
A police source informed Planet Chronicle Digital that a man was seen using a laptop in an Altoona fast food location, and that surveillance footage from a New York McDonald's location showed the person of interest using a laptop before the Wednesday shooting. The source also stated that the eyebrows of the individual in the footage matched.
The police source said that an employee recognized the man's face from wanted posters and allegedly notified the police.
The police were attempting to identify the man who was brought to the Altoona Police Department. However, the department did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's inquiries at the time of publication.
The NYPD has not yet arrived at the Pennsylvania department, according to a source on the scene.
Altoona is a city located about 100 miles east of Pittsburgh.
In New York City, outside the Hilton Midtown, Thompson was shot three times. The suspect in the shooting was last seen at the Port Authority bus station in Upper Manhattan.
