2 locals from the Bay Area and 1 from Kansas were identified as victims of the Devil's Slide crash.
The three individuals who perished after their car fell off a cliff in California on Friday have been identified.
According to local reports, the San Mateo County Coroner's Office identified 36-year-old Brylyn Aroma of Fort Riley, Kansas, as one of the crash victims. Additionally, authorities say 29-year-old Mohammad Noory and 28-year-old Angelica Gacho, both of San Francisco, were found in the wreckage.
A gray sedan with two doors was reported to have gone off Highway 1 in San Mateo County and plummeted down a cliff near the Tom Lantos Tunnels at approximately 11:40 a.m., according to KGO-TV.
The highway has since reopened after being closed briefly due to a crash.
According to KTVU FOX 2, hindered recovery efforts on Friday due to high tide conditions and cold water temperatures, resulting in the car being recovered on Saturday.
Devil's Slide, a 300 to 400 feet high cliff known to locals, features rocky edges and winding roads.
The cause of the crash is still unknown. Planet Chronicle contacted the investigating agency, California Highway Patrol, for more details, but they did not provide an immediate response.
