One arrested in connection to five shootings on the same interstate in Washington state.
All five shootings occurred on Interstate 5 in King County.
On Monday night in King County, Washington, five separate shootings were reportedly reported by police on the same interstate.
The Washington State Patrol wrote on social media that all five shootings occurred on Interstate 5, but it is unclear if they are linked.
A passenger sustained injuries in the first reported shooting on northbound I-5 at 320th.
After the shooting, the 911 caller drove to a nearby fire station for medical attention before being transported to Harborview Medical Center, according to KOMO.
After locating the white Volvo with California plates, local police arrested a suspect. The victim had informed state patrol about the suspect's driving.
Another call about a shooting on northbound I-5 at MLK was received 15 minutes later by state patrol. No victims were injured in that shooting, but a vehicle sustained damage.
Another call about a shooting on northbound I-5 at I-90, where a passenger was injured, was received by state patrol a short time later.
No suspect vehicle was reported in the second and third shootings, according to state patrol.
Two more shootings were reported on I-5, one near State Route 18 and one near 54th in Pierce County. The suspect's vehicle in these two shootings matched the first shooting near 320th. Injuries were reported in these last two shootings, but their conditions are unclear.
According to KOMO, the Seattle Fire Department treated a 20-year-old woman who was in critical condition after the shootings. She was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.
The shootings remain under investigation.
