On Thursday, the Ohio Secretary of State's office forwarded 138 non-U.S. citizens discovered on voter rolls to the state's attorney general.

Secretary Frank LaRose's monthslong audit of Ohio's voter rolls has resulted in the removal of hundreds of non-citizens from the state's voter registration, as previously reported by Planet Chronicle Digital.

LaRose stated that as a duty-bound individual, he is responsible for ensuring that individuals who have not yet earned citizenship in the country do not participate in elections. In Ohio, 597 individuals have registered to vote despite not being citizens of the United States, as per the state constitution.

He stated that there are 138 individuals who seem to have voted in an Ohio election despite not having citizenship status, according to state and federal records. He explained that the law mandates him to report these individuals to the attorney general, which he is doing today.

In 2022, there were 148 non-citizen cases; in 2021, there were 117; and in 2019, there were 354. The total number of non-citizen cases is 597.

Approximately 155,000 voter registrations were removed from LaRose's audit due to being confirmed as abandoned and inactive for at least four consecutive years.

The ongoing audit depends on evaluations and comparisons with records from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the DHS's SAVE database, the Social Security Administration, federal jury pool data, and other sources.

"LaRose stated in a recent interview with Planet Chronicle Digital that he took an oath to uphold the constitution of Ohio, which specifies that only US citizens can participate in elections. As a result, he is obligated to ensure that individuals who have not yet become citizens do not vote. Once they become citizens, he will be the first to congratulate them and welcome them to the franchise. However, until then, the law requires him to remove ineligible registrations to prevent illegal voting."

Several key swing states, including Ohio, are likely to influence the outcome of the 2024 election. Trump has been vocal about his concerns regarding voter fraud.
