NYPD declares incident not a terrorist attack as 10 people are shot outside NYC event space on New Year's Day.

The NYPD confirmed that the shooting outside the Amazura nightclub in Jamaica, Queens on New Year's Day was not a terrorist attack, despite a similar attack occurring in New Orleans on the same day.
At 11:18 p.m., several people were shot at a private event, resulting in multiple 911 calls. The police stated that around 90 people were present at the event location.
A group of three to four males approached the venue and fired over 30 shots in the direction of a line of people standing outside the event, hitting several vehicles.
The males ran westbound on 91st Street and entered a light-colored sedan with out-of-state plates. Police stated that the shooting was not a terrorist attack.
Six females and four males were transported to hospitals and are expected to survive, as none of them are in critical condition.
An ambulance and police presence was observed outside the Amazura nightclub, which has a capacity of 4,000 people and frequently hosts DJs and performances.
The NYPD informed Planet Chronicle that they are searching for a gray Infiniti sedan that escaped the scene.
