Nine months pregnant mother vanished for a month, last spotted at boyfriend's residence, family reports.
Gary, Indiana: Emma Baum, 25, disappeared while 9 months pregnant on Oct 10.
A mom who was nine months pregnant and had four children has been missing for over a month, her family said, and she was last seen at her boyfriend's home.
Emma Baum, 25, disappeared on Oct. 10 in Gary, Indiana.
Baum's mother believes her boyfriend had something to do with her disappearance, despite Baum's family saying she was last seen at his house that day. Gary Police Commander Jack Hamady told WGN9 that Baum's boyfriend is in custody but is being held in connection with an unrelated case.
""One person was picked up on a warrant, but they have not been charged. No one in this case has been charged, and it was for a separate [fail to appear] warrant," Hamady stated."
According to a local Chicago outlet, authorities received a missing persons report for Baum on Oct. 28. Since then, officers and K9s have assisted in the search, police said.
Hamady stated that they have investigated three locations and have exhausted those means. They also looked into video footage in those areas where she was last seen.
Baum is a person with brown hair and eyes, standing at about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing around 136 pounds. She has multiple scars and tattoos, and frequently adorns herself with vibrant wigs.
Abigale Smith, Baum's sister, stated at a press conference on Friday that they are searching for her sister who was one centimeter dilated on Oct. 4. She has been missing since Oct. 10, as reported by NewsNation.
"Jamie Baum, mother of Baum, stated at the Friday press conference that she wants her daughter home. She added that her babies and family miss her."
