New Orleans Kill Zone: Feds Unveil Terrifying Timeline of Terrorist Planning
FBI reveals details of terrorist's international and domestic travel before the attack.
On Sunday, the FBI disclosed fresh information regarding the movements of 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the individual suspected of carrying out the lethal New Year's terrorist attack in New Orleans.
Jabbar, who authorities claimed acted alone in the Bourbon Street attack that resulted in 14 deaths, traveled to Cairo, Egypt from June 22 to July 3, 2023, before flying to Ontario, Canada and returning to the U.S. The FBI announced this during a press conference. Additionally, Jabbar made at least two trips to New Orleans in October and November prior to the attack and recorded video of the site with Meta smart glasses.
The FBI is probing whether Jabbar had any U.S. or foreign associates and cannot exclude the possibility that he received aid abroad.
