Military mobile artillery vehicle being hauled on a semi-truck collides with train.
A video of the 'devastating' crash was recorded by a South Carolina resident.
A freight train collided with a semi-truck carrying an M109 Paladin Howitzer mobile artillery vehicle and destroyed a street crossing in Goose Creek, South Carolina on Thursday afternoon.
Jennifer Clinton and her son recorded the crash on video while they were in their own car. They told Planet Chronicle Digital that their son was shaken up but they were okay. They added that it was heartbreaking to witness the accident in person.
The eyewitness informed Fox that the 18-wheeler became stuck while trying to cross the train tracks, and the resulting collision with the freight train caused the military vehicle to stop.
The intersection was severely damaged by the train crash, resulting in the closure of portions of the road for an extended period.
Despite the Goose Creek Police stating that no one was injured, the man who ran out of the truck refused medical treatment.
No information yet on the unit of the Howitzer or the total damage caused to the train, semi, and artillery vehicle.
