In October, 25 individuals convicted of child sex crimes in the US were deported by ICE Houston.
Some of the illegal immigrants deported in October were previously removed from the US.
In October, over 25 illegal immigrants who were convicted of committing a child sex crime were deported, as per information from ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston Field Office (ERO Houston).
Last month, 25 child sex offenders were deported, including illegal immigrants with gang affiliations, multiple deportations, and multiple convictions for various crimes.
ERO Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford stated in a news release that the 25 noncitizens removed from the country last month had illegally entered the country and exploited the vulnerability of children.
The office did not reveal the names of the criminals but disclosed information about 10 of the individuals deported.
In October, two Salvadoran nationals were deported by ERO Houston. The first was a 27-year-old who had been convicted of sexually assaulting a child, resisting arrest, and providing false information to law enforcement. The second was a 58-year-old who had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child and illegal re-entry.
On Oct. 16, fourteen days after, a 37-year-old Mexican national, who is a member of the Paisas gang and has prior convictions of committing lewd acts against a child younger than 14 and illegal re-entry, was removed.
A 37-year-old Mexican national who was twice deported and convicted of sexual indecency with a child and sexual assault of a child was removed from the country on the same day.
On October 17th, ERO Houston deported a 50-year-old Mexican national who had been convicted of sexual indecency with a child, cocaine trafficking, two DWIs, assault, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and illegal re-entry.
On October 18, a 44-year-old Colonia Durango gang member from Mexico was deported after being convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a minor, sexual indecency with a child, and larceny (twice).
On Oct. 22, a 33-year-old Ecuadorian national who had been convicted of unlawful surveillance and illegal re-entry was removed from the country.
A 52-year-old Salvadoran national was deported again after being convicted of indecent liberties with a child, DWI, assault of a government employee, and illegal re-entry.
On Oct. 28, two Guatemalan nationals were removed from the country: a 20-year-old convicted of sexual indecency with a child under 14 and a twice-deported 30-year-old convicted of incest with a minor under the age of 13 and illegal re-entry.
Bradford stated that his immigration officers are not only members of the community but also have families here, and they take their duty to safeguard the residents of southeast Texas from dangerous noncitizens like this with utmost personal concern.
Bradford stated that last month's results demonstrate their unwavering dedication to capturing and eliminating dangers to public safety, safeguarding our communities from harm, and restoring the integrity of our nation's immigration system.
The ERO Houston office is responsible for immigration enforcement in 52 of the 254 counties in Texas, covering operations in much of southeast Texas, from Shelby and Hill counties down to Refugio and Live Oak counties.
