At a local apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, 14 individuals have been apprehended by police after an armed home invasion.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Aurora Police received a call about an armed home invasion that resulted in a stabbing and kidnapping at The Edge at Lowry Apartments, located in the 1200 block of Dallas Street.
The police report that a preliminary investigation revealed that several suspects entered an apartment with two people inside, and the suspects took the victims to another apartment at the same location, where they were "threatened and bound."
A man who was stabbed is expected to recover, according to police.
The suspects released the victims, who then called 911 at some point, authorities said.
"The police investigation is in its initial stages, and updates will be provided as more information emerges."
A news conference is expected later Tuesday.
In late summer, a viral video was recorded at The Edge at Lowry Apartments featuring armed members of the notorious Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua (TdA), in the stairwell and hallways.
No link between the home invasion and TdA had been confirmed by police as of Tuesday morning.
