Hours after the New Orleans attack, NYC protesters demand an 'intifada revolution'.
Following Shamsud-Din Jabbar's attack on Bourbon Street with an ISIS flag, anti-Israel demonstrators gathered in New York.
On New Year's Day, hundreds of demonstrators in Times Square demanded an "intifada revolution," just hours after a terrorist with an ISIS flag crashed into dozens at a New Orleans parade.
The New York City protest, organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and the People's Forum, saw attendees chanting "Intifada revolution" as a solution to their cause.
"We will be victorious, honor our martyrs, and make Gaza proud," were among the chants.
According to the Times of Israel, protesters carried signs that read "Zionism is a cancer," "No war on Iran," and "End all U.S. aid to Israel."
""Go back to Europe!" one woman wearing a keffiyeh shouted at counter-protesters in an exchange captured on video."
The year 2024 was marked by a struggle against the crime of Zionism, as announced through a megaphone by a speaker.
The speaker stated that they would remain present annually until complete liberation and restoration, as reported by the Times of Israel.
On New Orleans' Bourbon Street, a pickup truck was driven into a crowd of New Year's Eve revelers by 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar several hours before the demonstration.
Alethea Duncan, FBI Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge, stated at a Wednesday afternoon press conference that Jabbar, who was shot dead in a gunfight with police, was a U.S.-born citizen residing in Texas.
On Wednesday at 3:15 a.m., an attack occurred that resulted in the deaths of 15 people, including Jabbar, and injuries to 35 others.
The FBI has recovered several weapons from the crime scene and surrounding areas, including two IEDs in coolers located at the intersection of Bourbon and Orleans Streets and at a second intersection just two blocks away. The FBI wants to speak with witnesses who may have seen the coolers containing IEDs.
From March 2007 to January 2015, Jabbar served in the Army as a human resource specialist and IT specialist. After completing active duty, he continued to serve in the Army Reserve as an IT specialist from January 2015 to July 2020.
From February 2009 to January 2010, he served in Afghanistan during his tenure.
According to the FBI, Jabbar had joined ISIS before this summer and had provided a will and testament, as he stated in Facebook videos before the attack.
