Greg Abbott calls for the immediate removal of migrants accused of setting a Texas home on fire with children inside: "Immediate Action Required"
Abbott vowed to cooperate with Tom Homan, the future 'border czar'.
Gov. Abbott of Texas criticized the migrant accused of attempting to harm his children in a house fire and pledged to collaborate with President-elect Trump's "border czar" to maintain law and order.
Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, 46, was recently accused of three counts of attempted murder for a Nov. 6 incident at his home in Fulshear, Texas, where he allegedly set his house on fire while his three children were inside.
ICE informed Planet Chronicle Digital that Pulgar's legal status is unknown.
On Monday, the Texas governor urged that Pulgar be imprisoned for the rest of his life.
"An immigrant from Venezuela, whose legal status is unclear, has been accused of setting a house on fire in Texas with three children inside. He should spend the rest of his life in prison."
The Texas Republican vowed to collaborate with the incoming Trump administration to expel unlawful immigrants who have committed crimes.
"I will collaborate with Tom Homan to identify and expel as many of these offenders as possible," Abbott stated.
Despite the fire, none of the suspect's children were killed, but one suffered from severe smoke inhalation. The three-year-old child was airlifted to a hospital and released after treatment.
The house was significantly damaged in the fire, and Pulgar's other two children escaped with minor injuries.
The blaze caused Pulgar to sustain severe injuries, and after being discharged from the hospital, he was taken into custody at the Fort Bend County Jail with a bond of $2.25 million.
