Four individuals were reportedly killed by Rhanni S Davis, 30, while they were sleeping on a Chicago Transit Authority line, according to police.
On Monday, a man from Chicago was charged for shooting and killing four passengers who were sleeping on a train.
Four counts of first-degree murder have been charged against Rhanni S. Davis, who is 30 years old, according to Fox Chicago.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., four individuals were fatally shot while sleeping on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train, according to authorities.
The train arrived at the Forest Park station and CTA workers notified police.
Four victims were declared dead, with three being found at the scene and the fourth being taken to Loyola University Medical Center.
Adrian Collins, 60, and Simeon Bihesi, 28, were two of the victims identified, while the other two have only been identified as a male and a female.
After the shootings, Davis escaped but was later apprehended on the CTA's Pink Line. Authorities allegedly found a weapon during the arrest.
The CTA condemned the violent act that took place on a public transit train, stating that it was unacceptable and should never have happened.
Allegedly, surveillance footage depicted Davis strolling through a train car and firing at three victims who were seated separately, according to police.
The fourth victim was in a different car.
