Florida beach town mayor caught on camera taking field sobriety test: "I'm not the mayor right now"
On Aug 28, Mayor Teresa Heitmann was accused of driving under the influence.
A man and his wife called the police after an unknown woman in a silver vehicle followed them from downtown Naples to their residence.
The unknown woman stopped her vehicle on the grass in front of the couple's residence, and after a brief exchange, the couple called police, according to a press release from the Naples Police Department.
""I am not the mayor," Teresa Heitmann stated to a Naples officer after being pulled over, as captured in the police footage obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital at approximately 09:36 minutes."
"OK," the officer responds.
Heitmann interrupts the officer as he begins to relay the information from the callers to police dispatch.

The officer suspects Heitmann of being intoxicated, and the mayor admits to having a glass of wine but denies being drunk. The officer requests a field sobriety test, which Heitmann agrees to take.
During the test, the officer repeatedly inquired if Heitmann wanted to remove her shoes and perform the test without footwear, but she refused.
Police said that after the test was completed, officers found probable cause to arrest Mrs. Heitmann for driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
The mayor was taken to Naples Jail Center and agreed to take a breathalyzer test to determine her blood-alcohol content. The results showed that she had a BAC of 0.155 and 0.169, which exceeds the legal limit of 0.08 in Florida.
"The Naples City Manager, Jay Boodheshwar, stated that city employees were saddened by the incident involving the Mayor. However, he assured the community that the City team is committed to serving residents and has 100% confidence that employees will not let the incident affect service delivery."
