Diddy filed a new bail request, stating that altered circumstances and new evidence warrant his release from jail to prepare for trial.

On Friday, Combs' lawyers submitted a bail request in Manhattan federal court, which was denied by two judges since his September arrest.

On Sept. 17, an indictment was unsealed, accusing Combs of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, he could receive a minimum of 15 years in prison or a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

In their new court filing, Combs' lawyers propose a "more comprehensive" bail package that includes strict security monitoring and limitations on contact with anyone except lawyers.

In an attempt to secure his release from the Brooklyn jail, where he has been incarcerated for eight weeks, his lawyers presented a new $50 million bail package.

The government's case is weak, as new evidence shows.

The lawyers argued that the evidence contradicts the government's claim that the March 2016 video of Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend was part of a coerced "freak off," a sexually driven event described in the indictment against Combs.

The request confirms that the defense's initial description of the events in the March 2016 video recording is accurate: The video is not proof of a coerced "freak off," but rather a detailed look at a complex, yet consensual, relationship between Mr. Combs and Victim-1.

The lawyers contended that the jail conditions Combs is facing at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn are in violation of his constitutional right to participate in his defense.

Combs has pleaded not guilty and strongly denied the allegations. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
