The New York Post exclusively interviewed the former president and learned that Barron will be attending a university in New York this fall.
Trump stated to the Post that the student is highly intelligent and has consistently excelled academically in a top-notch school.
Trump did not specify which school his son had chosen, but stated that an announcement would be made shortly.
Trump repeated that he would not reveal which school his son chose until the announcement was made, even when asked about Barron's plans to attend NYU.
Eric Trump, the former president's son, graduated from Georgetown University.
In May, Barron Trump, 18, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida.
