ICE Enforcement Removal Operations in Seattle reported that federal authorities consider a Jordanian migrant attempting to enter the U.S. through its northern border to be a terrorist.

Near the northern border of Lynden, Washington, Mohammed Hasan Abdellatif Albana, 41, was apprehended by the agency, according to a Wednesday press release. The details of when and where he entered the country are not specified.

The U.S. immigration agency labeled Albana as a "known or suspected terrorist," according to an official statement.

On November 15, Albana was returned to Jordan following immigration proceedings, as per the agency.

Customs and Border Patrol data reveal that during the Biden administration, 300 migrants whose names are on the terror watchlist have been intercepted crossing the country's northern and southern borders.

According to a report by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, at least 99 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist who were encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023 have been released into American communities by the Biden-Harris Administration, with at least 34 others still in DHS custody but not yet removed from the United States.

The interim report by the staff revealed that immigration judges granted bond to at least 27 migrants on the watchlist who entered illegally, and that Border Patrol has encountered tens of thousands of migrants from countries that could present national security risks, including 2,134 Afghan nationals, 33,347 Chinese nationals, 541 Iranian nationals, 520 Syrian nationals, and 3,104 Uzbek nationals.

The report states that the number of potential terrorists who entered the United States undetected by Border Patrol is not included in the 2 million "gotaways" since the start of the Biden-Harris Administration.

The report, based on information given to committee staff in June, revealed that Border Patrol had encountered migrants on the terror watchlist from 36 different countries, including countries with active terror presences. These countries include Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan, and Yemen.
