An Arizona man who confessed to killing his wife is given his punishment.
Kelly was initially reported missing in the Flagstaff area by her husband, Daniel Paduchowski.
On Tuesday, an Arizona man who confessed to murdering his wife during the summer was sentenced.
In June, Kelly was murdered by Daniel Paduchowski, who was subsequently sentenced to 16 years in prison.
Daniel Paduchowski initially reported his wife's disappearance in the Flagstaff area, but police later became suspicious and eventually arrested him.
According to Kelly's loved ones, the motive for the killing was that she had planned on divorcing Daniel. Additionally, it was discovered that Daniel tried to conceal the murder by sending a text message to Kelly's mother on her phone.
On Tuesday, Daniel confessed to a judge that he experienced an overwhelming sensation during the murder and expressed remorse for his actions.
The family, present at Tuesday's proceedings, described Kelly as a kind, courageous, and loving mother. A statement on their behalf was read.
Daniel was convicted of additional charges related to the second-degree murder charge, and those sentences will be served simultaneously with the 16-year sentence for murder.
