An accused Brazilian migrant who is facing multiple sex charges in Massachusetts was arrested by ICE.
On Friday, a Brazilian migrant was arrested by ICE officers in Boston.
In Massachusetts, an illegal migrant from Brazil was apprehended by ICE officials following accusations of multiple sex offenses.
Jackson Bento-Pinheiro was caught by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Wakefield, Massachusetts for entering the U.S. illegally.
The 35-year-old was charged with assault to rape, indecent assault and battery, and domestic assault and battery in Massachusetts, according to authorities.
Despite having an active arrest warrant for domestic violence, the local bail commissioner released the suspect back on bond.
The source stated that ICE apprehended him.
In July 2021, the migrant's legal troubles started when he was apprehended at the border near San Ysidro, California.
The following day, Bento was given a summons by border officials to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge and was subsequently released back onto the streets.
On Aug. 22, 2021, ERO Boston received a report from Bento regarding his removal from the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, which enables migrants to remain in the U.S. during their immigration proceedings.
