According to authorities, a Florida man attacked a neighbor with a knife due to a neighborly dispute.

Addiel Herrera, a 48-year-old suspect, is accused of attacking his duplex neighbor following an argument, as per the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), who posted body camera footage on Facebook. The incident occurred on Dec. 28.

Allegedly, Herrera grabbed a knife while the unidentified female victim tried to separate herself from him by closing her garage and locking her doors.

Herrera is then said to have banged on the victim's door.

"Herrera entered the room and attacked the victim, causing injury to their hand. The victim managed to push Herrera out of the room, but he continued to attack the door."

Deputies located Herrera in his garage.

The deputy shouted, "Come here, now!" to Herrera in Spanish, who had blood-covered hands raised in the air in response.

Herrera was charged with armed burglary with assault and is being held without bond at the Lee County Jail. He was retrained on the ground.

LCSO stated that Herrera's criminal record includes an arrest for battery and resisting an officer in September, as well as other violent charges.

The dispute between the LCSO and the suspect started with a comment about a family member of the suspect, according to Planet Chronicle Digital.

"Sheriff Carmine Marceno stated that it's unsurprising this man has a criminal history with aggravated assault and battery, and that any form of violence will not be tolerated in Lee County. Not only is he a bad neighbor, but he's also a bad resident of Lee County."
