A woman from the United States passed away on a flight from Paris to Boston.

Barbara Dipoli, 53, of Topeka, Kansas, was confirmed as the deceased passenger by the Massachusetts State Police.

The name of the Kansas woman who passed away on an Air France flight from Paris to Boston has been made public.

On Tuesday, January 14th, Barbara Dipoli, a 53-year-old woman from Topeka, Kansas, was discovered deceased on a flight from Paris to Boston, as confirmed by the Massachusetts State Police to Planet Chronicle Digital.

On Tuesday evening at Boston Logan International Airport, state troopers and the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit responded to an unattended death aboard Air France flight AF334 from Paris to Boston.

According to police, the preliminary information indicates that the death was caused by a medical emergency that occurred during the flight.

A police spokesperson stated that we express our sympathies to her family and loved ones.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is yet to provide the official cause and manner of death to investigators.

NBC News was informed by the airline that the passenger had passed away, and a doctor on the flight attempted to provide assistance.

On January 14, 2025, a customer on Air France flight AF334 from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Boston became ill during the flight. Despite the help of a doctor on board, the customer could not be saved.

Air France confirmed the death to NBC News and said a doctor on board the flight tried to help the passenger.

"Air France reminds its crew members are regularly trained to handle such situations, while expressing sincere condolences for this unfortunate event."

Air France did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
