This morning, a Tesla Cybertruck caught fire outside the Trump Hotel Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
A vehicle fire occurred at the hotel entrance, as stated in a social media post from the police department.
The police advised the public to steer clear of the area as the fire had been extinguished.
In a separate post on X, Eric Trump, the President-elect's son, made a statement regarding the incident.
"A reported electric vehicle fire took place in the porte cochère of Trump Las Vegas earlier today. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We thank the Las Vegas Fire Department and local law enforcement for their prompt and professional response."
Planet Chronicle Digital's request for additional information was not immediately answered by the police.
Smoke was seen coming from a tower in a video obtained by FOX 5 in Las Vegas, and the station also reported that it obtained video from a view that suggests fireworks may have been inside a Tesla Cybertruck.
Several police and ambulances were also reportedly in the area.
