A teenager dies at a ski resort near an affluent mountain town.
At Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe in Nevada, an 18-year-old was discovered unconscious after an accident.
In the premier Tahoe ski area, an 18-year-old died after a skiing accident in Nevada.
At Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe, a stunning resort in the Reno area with slopes reaching 8,260 feet, an unidentified teenager tragically struck a tree while skiing and was confirmed dead by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office to Planet Chronicle Digital.
On Friday, Jan. 10, a fatal collision occurred on the intermediate Ramsey's Run trail, according to authorities.
The man was found unresponsive by the Mt. Rose Ski Patrol at the scene.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man at the scene after a Care Flight team was dispatched.
"The management and staff of Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe express their deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the skier, according to a statement made to Planet Chronicle Digital. The resort also acknowledges the valuable assistance provided by the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and Care Flight during the response effort."
Recently, a fatal accident occurred, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old and a 12-year-old boy, both of whom had previously died from ski-related incidents in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
On January 6th, at the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts, a 19-year-old from New Jersey passed away while skiing.
According to Planet Chronicle Digital, Kemp was previously confirmed by authorities to have gone over an embankment and suffered "significant head trauma."
Over school vacation break, 12-year-old Jack Murray tragically passed away at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, New Hampshire.
A Massachusetts boy died after crashing into a tree, as previously confirmed by police to Planet Chronicle Digital.
