An infant was found abandoned in a tote bag near a Bronx apartment building, and the New York City Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
On Sunday at 6:01 a.m., police received a 911 call about a crying baby and found an infant girl wrapped in blankets inside a tote bag left in front of an apartment building on Rev. James A. Polite Avenue, officials said.
The baby, who has not yet been identified, was admitted to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition and is currently being treated by hospital staff.
