A nudist resort in California, neighboring a resort where a couple had gone missing, has been charged with murder.
Stephanie and Daniel Menard were allegedly murdered by Michael Sparks at a nudist resort in California.
A California couple who disappeared at a nudist resort near Los Angeles last weekend have been accused of murder by their neighbor.
Spokesperson Carl Baker from the City of Redlands revealed on Friday that cadaver dogs are searching for the remains of Stephanie and Daniel Menard at the Olive Dell Ranch in Colton after the arrest of 62-year-old Michael Sparks.
""We are confident that the bodies are on the site of his home and that they are still here on the property," Baker stated."
On Sunday, a friend reported the Menards as missing, and they were last seen at their home on Saturday at the resort.
"The Redlands Police Department stated that the Menards' unlocked vehicle was found down the road from their residence on the same day. Additionally, Stephanie Menard's purse was discovered inside her residence, along with her and Daniel's cell phones. However, the Menards' dog, a small white Shih Tzu named Cuddles, is still missing."
According to KABC's report, Tammie Wilkerson, a friend of the couple, stated that it was impossible for Stephanie or Dan to have abandoned the car.
Wilkerson stated that they would never have left their purse, cellphones, or cane at home.
The motive for the alleged killings committed by Sparks is unclear.
