A murder-for-hire plot has led to the charging of a Virginia woman.
A 44-year-old woman, Gennevieve McGhee, is accused of sharing specific plans with a law enforcement source.
According to the Henry County Sheriff's office, a woman from Virginia has been arrested and charged with a murder-for-hire plot.
The sheriff's office claimed that Gennevieve McGhee, 44, was caught on audio and video evidence while planning a murder for hire.
McGhee is accused of meeting with a confidential source at her residence in Ridgeway, Virginia, who was acting under law enforcement direction and utilizing a recording device to capture evidence.
It is claimed that she shared specific information about payment plans and steps to commit a robbery and murder.
McGhee stands accused of criminal solicitation of murder and conspiring to commit a felony.
On Wednesday, deputies from the Henry County Sheriff's Office arrested McGhee and placed him in the Henry County Adult Detention Center without the possibility of release on bond.
The case is still being reviewed by the Henry County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
Officials stated that no additional information is available on the case at this time.
