A mother from Alabama has been charged with the murder of her two children, but the body of the one-year-old child is still missing.
Allegedly, Wendy Pamela Bailey, 22, confessed to being aware that the toddler's body was stored in an outdoor shed.
A mother from Alabama was arrested after informing investigators that her missing one-year-old child had passed away and his body was stored in a shed, as stated in a criminal complaint.
Wendy Pamela Bailey, 22, was involved in an accident that claimed the lives of Steven Bradley Collins, 40, and Ryleigh Collins, 2. The discovery was made shortly after the accident.
A third child, Kahleb Rowan Collins, 1, was unaccounted for.
The 24th Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation have concluded that Kahleb is likely dead after an investigation into his whereabouts.
The investigation concluded that Kahleb had been deceased for some time.
According to court documents, evidence alleged by investigators showed that Steven Collins, the father, had abused the boy and the mother, failed to intervene or report the abuse.
It is also believed that Bailey was aware the body was placed in the storage shed.
The complaint allegedly contains photos that depict some of the abuse through images of the child with bloodied wounds and hanging from a rope, as well as lying on the floor with bruises.
Officials claim that Bailey sent messages stating, "He wants to move," "I'm so sorry," and finally "He's moving." Bailey responded, "He just looks worn out and tired, and hopefully that's all."
Despite ongoing efforts by law enforcement to gather information and search for his remains, his body has not been recovered, officials stated.
