Recently, a Minnesota man pleaded guilty to killing two of his romantic partners, dismembering them, and disposing of their bodies in storage units.
On Thursday, Joseph Jorgenson admitted to murdering Manijeh "Mani" Starren and Fanta Xayavong, whose remains were discovered in storage facilities in 2023, as reported by FOX 9.
He also pleaded guilty to two separate counts of second-degree intentional murder.
In April 2023, Starren asked Jorgenson to leave her apartment, and Jorgenson later admitted to killing her.
The report states that he choked her out until she stopped breathing, then used a long razor blade to dismember her body and transported the remains to a Woodbury storage facility.
Jorgenson confessed to killing Xayavong two years ago during a heated argument that turned physical at their home. Following the argument, he dismembered her body and relocated the remains to a Coon Rapids storage facility.
"Ricki Starren, Mani’s mother, said after the plea hearing, "She was our beautiful daughter, with a heart of gold and a great mom. Yes, he is a monster, but I do feel bad for his family.""
Officials report that he will serve a combined total of 40 years in prison for both deaths.
