A man was apprehended in New York City for the murder of a woman who was discovered outside a hotel in Times Square.
In New Jersey, the United States Marshal Service apprehended Jaheem Warren, 33.
Last week, a man was arrested for strangling a woman outside a hotel in Times Square, New York City, and subsequently disposing of her body, according to authorities.
On October 29th in Midtown Manhattan, Leslie Torres, 23, was allegedly targeted by Jaheem Warren, 33, who approached her randomly, according to the New York Police Department.
Hotel staff discovered an unconscious Torres in front of the Riu Plaza New York Times Square Hotel.
According to the New York Post, Warren was arrested in Prospect Park, New Jersey, by the United States Marshal Service and charged with two counts of murder, as reported by law enforcement sources.
The NYPD stated that he is also charged with first-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, second-degree assault, and second-degree strangulation.
Police said that Torres, a Manhattan resident, was admitted to Mount Siai West hospital and remained on life-support until her death on Nov. 4.
Warren has an extensive criminal history in New Jersey, the Post reported.
He was sentenced to more than four years in prison for a 2019 conviction of drug dealing and money laundering.
He was released in June 2023, but was back in jail by November on a drug dealing charge. He was released on March 6.
