A couple was about to sit for dinner when a car crashed through their Arizona home.
An 18-year-old driver is suspected by Phoenix police to have been under the influence.
A Ford Mustang crashed through an Arizona couple's living room, but all four dogs and the couple survived.
On Friday night at 10:30 p.m., Marcus Holmberg and Sabrina Rivera sustained cuts and minor injuries when their living room was smashed through by a car, according to Phoenix police.
The Mustang crashed through the exterior wall, creating a cloud of dust and debris, as captured in a video shared by Holmberg and Rivera.
"Holmberg described the sudden and explosive nature of the event to local 12News, saying, "It was like a bomb went off. It came smashing in and just appeared. It happened so quickly.""
The couple's four dogs were seen in the living room with them at the time of the crash. Holmberg posted a social media video after the incident to show that all the couple's dogs were okay.
Following the crash, the dogs were "scared and sore," as Rivera informed Storyful.
Rivera stated that although no injuries were discovered, a vet visit will be necessary once funds become available to cover it.
The couple is now focused on repairing the damage to their home.
"The incident destroyed everything," Rivera told Storyful.
On social media, Holmberg stated that the crash caused the entire home to shift off its foundation and that repairs could cost up to $30,000.
The 18-year-old suspected of driving under the influence and crashing through a home was arrested. No additional information about the driver was immediately available.
