Travis Kelce has begun the 2024 season with a slower start than anticipated by fans.
Despite being named to his ninth Pro Bowl, Kelce has yet to receive seven targets and has only made four catches for 39 yards. In the Chiefs' victory over the Bengals, he had just one catch for five yards.
In the first game of the 2023 season, Kelce sustained an injury. Despite this, he managed to make four catches on nine targets for 26 yards in his first game back on the field. He also scored a touchdown. In his second game, Kelce had seven catches on eight targets for 69 yards and also had one touchdown.
The football player, who is close to turning 35, resembles a 35-year-old athlete.

In the first two games, Kansas City's tight ends have been targeted a total of 11 times, with Kelce, Noah Gray, and Jared Wiley all receiving the targets. The team has utilized Isiah Pacheco and Xavier Worthy as complements to Rashee Rice early in the year.
Was it asked of Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach, whether teams were taking more measures to neutralize Kelce?
"Reid stated on Monday that they had some things they were trying to accomplish, but it's not because Mahomes is slowing down. Instead, teams are focusing on him as his go-to guy, which has allowed them to utilize other players around him and make them productive."
With Pacheco injured, one of the tight ends will have to increase their performance and become more open for Mahomes.
