Patrick Mahomes receives support from Brett Favre on his stance regarding presidential endorsements during the ongoing controversy between Trump and Taylor Swift.

Despite being under constant pressure, Patrick Mahomes has kept his footing this season, and his performance has impressed another multiple-time NFL MVP.

On Sunday, Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 26-25 win over the Bengals with a game-winning drive, but for the second game in a row, their partners sat separately.

Brittany Mahomes shared pictures of herself with her children on Instagram Stories, while Taylor Swift, Kelce's girlfriend, was featured on CBS celebrating the Chiefs.

Since the former president's post on Truth Social criticizing Taylor Swift's endorsement of VP Harris, the Chiefs have played their first game. Brittany Mahomes, who has been linked to several displays of support for Trump on social media, has faced backlash from Swift fans after receiving praise from the former president during an interview on "Fox & Friends."

In a press conference last week, the quarterback praised his wife's influence in the community when asked about Trump's comments about her. Mahomes also claimed he wouldn't make any political endorsement himself but encouraged Americans to vote.

Brett Favre praised Mahomes for his stance, while criticizing Swift for supporting Harris.

Mahomes' comments were praised by Favre, who noted that many celebrities try to sway their audience rather than allowing them to make their own decisions. If the best choice is not clear and people are easily influenced by their favorite pop artist, it can have negative consequences.

In the most recent presidential election, Favre did not personally take the route he endorsed. The Hall of Fame quarterback publicly supported Trump on Oct. 30, 2020, citing his stance on freedom of speech, gun rights, and support for the military and police in a post on X.

"My vote is for the principles that make this country great, including freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment, hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have the freedom to choose, which we should respect. For me and these values, my vote is for [Donald Trump]," Favre wrote.

Despite his belief that sports were becoming "too political," Favre endorsed the product.

Like Brett Favre, Brittany Mahomes has also faced criticism for her political views. In 2020 and 2021, Mahomes appeared on the "Bolling with Favre" podcast with co-host Eric Bolling. During the podcast, Mahomes expressed her opinions on several topics, including her stance on NFL players kneeling for the national anthem and her belief in keeping transgender athletes out of women's sports.

The former NFL player, Favre, expressed on a podcast that he found it difficult to believe that Chauvin, the police officer who killed George Floyd, intended to do so. This led to criticism from current NFL players, including Steve Smith and Torrey Smith.

The podcast was discontinued in June of 2021.

Despite not causing any controversy like Favre, Mahomes has assisted his wife in managing the backlash she has faced for her support of Trump in the past month, as per her.

Brittany revealed on the "WHOOP" podcast that she has relied on her three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback spouse to help her cope with the recent media attention.

""Having him beside me and guiding me through it has helped a lot. I think that’s kind of gotten to where we are at now," she said."

She mentioned that her husband aided her in cultivating an attitude of "not caring."

She said that she believes the most important thing he consistently told her was, 'Don't worry about what others think, especially those who don't know you,' and that social media used to greatly affect her, but now she no longer cares what others have to say about her on social media.

"I believe he has helped me become self-assured in my identity, our relationship, and our life together. Therefore, why should the opinions of others hold any significance?"

Brittany and Patrick, both born and raised in eastern Texas, began dating during their time at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, where Patrick played quarterback and Brittany participated in soccer. Whitehouse, with a population of approximately 8,500, has a history of voting Republican, as indicated by Data USA.

Since 2018, Swift has supported Democratic candidates, including Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in the 2018 U.S. midterm elections in Tennessee.

Since her surge in popularity from her Eras Tour and public relationship with Kelce, she has endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2020 and her endorsement of Harris Tuesday arguably has a stronger impact.

Swift and Brittany were frequently seen together in the same suite during the Chiefs games Swift attended last year, often being the center of attention on NFL broadcasts. However, they have not been seen together at either Chiefs home game this season.

Brittany and Swift were last seen together, hugging, at the U.S. Open on Sept. 8, along with Mahomes and Kelce.

Swift attended the quarterback's birthday party on Monday, but kept a low profile while the focus was on the three-time Super Bowl winner. Photos showed Swift with Mecole Hardman's fiancée and Chris Jones' wife, but there were no photos of Swift and Brittany Mahomes together. It is unclear if they interacted at the event.

The Chiefs' next game is in Atlanta against the Falcons on Sunday night, and they won't return to Arrowhead Stadium until a game against the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7, leaving less than a month until the election.
