The Atlanta Falcons stunned the Philadelphia Eagles on "Monday Night Football," winning 22-21 with a last-minute drive by Kirk Cousins.

In the Falcons' red zone, a pivotal moment in the game occurred when quarterback Jalen Hurts opted for a play action instead of running the ball to conserve time, and he aimed to find Saquon Barkley.

Barkley, who had a tremendous Eagles debut with three touchdowns, appeared destined for a first down that would’ve iced the game – had he caught the ball. However, with the drop, the clock stopped, bringing on kicker Jake Elliott for the field goal to make it an 18-15 game.

With 1:39 remaining on the clock, the Falcons' offense, without timeouts, had the opportunity to advance down the field and secure a touchdown, necessitating an extra point to secure victory.

In Philadelphia's red zone, Cousins found Kyle Pitts for 11 yards and Darnell Mooney made two catches for a total of 47 yards.

On the 7-yard line in Philadelphia, Drake London executed a flawless out route that Cousins spotted him on in the end zone, causing the crowd to fall silent.

The Falcons' potential game-winning extra point was hindered by London's excessive celebration, pushing the 33-yard attempt to 48 yards. However, Younghoe Koo successfully kicked it down the middle.

Despite the Eagles' timeouts, they were still able to get into field goal range, but Hurts, who had a great game, threw an interception to safety Jessie Bates III, ending that possibility.

The Falcons and Eagles are now 1-1 after the stunner in Philly.

The game seemed to be over when C.J. Gardner-Johnson stopped Bijan Robinson on fourth-and-1, causing the Falcons to lose possession and fall behind three points after the Eagles scored a touchdown and Hurts was pushed into the end zone.

The saying "it ain't over until it's over" was given another example thanks to Cousins' clutch passing, which resulted in 241 yards and two touchdowns through 20-of-29 attempts.

In the third quarter, the Falcons' cousin struggled with short passes, but he let one fly to Mooney, who scored a 41-yard touchdown, leading Atlanta with 88 yards on three receptions.

In the absence of A.J. Brown, who is out with a hamstring injury, DeVonta Smith played the role of top receiver for the Eagles and scored the game's only touchdown with a seven-yard strike from Hurts in the second quarter.

On the ground, Robinson was a crucial player for the Falcons, with a game-high 97 yards rushing on 14 carries. Barkley came close with 22 carries, but was two yards short of him. Hurts also contributed significantly with 85 yards on 13 tuck-and-runs.
