Caitlin Clark's rookie season was 'scary' for ex-WNBA player.
The Rookie of the Year is likely to be Clark.
On Thursday, Caitlin Clark will conclude her first regular season in the WNBA as the Indiana Fever face the Washington Mystics.
She has put together a phenomenal season, breaking multiple rookie records and recording two triple-doubles, making her the clear-cut favorite to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award.
Since 2015, Indiana has not had 20 wins, and it has not been in the postseason since 2016. It seems like those five-win days are a thing of the past.
Val Whiting, a former player for the Detroit Shock and Minnesota Lynx, shared her thoughts on Clark after he scored a career-high 35 points in a victory over the Dallas Wings on Sunday.
"Caitlin Clark is still adjusting to the WNBA, as evidenced by her performance. This is concerning, as she has not yet fully adjusted to the league."
Clark is currently averaging 19.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game with only one game remaining on the Fever's schedule. He is shooting 41.7% from the field and 34.1% from 3-point range.
Next up, the playoffs.
""Clark stated via ESPN that everyone is definitely excited for the playoffs and they feel confident in their ability to compete with every single team," said Clark."
