Bears rookie Caleb Williams struggles against Texans defense in victory.
The Bears lost to the Texans 19-13 in the game.
The Bears were defeated by the Texans in a close game, with Williams being picked off twice and sacked seven times.
The Bears’ offense was disrupted by the pressure put on their line by the Texans’ defense, causing Williams to look like a novice player. He made two interceptions, one to Kamar Lassiter and the other to Derek Stingley Jr.
Henry To’oTo’o, Jalen Pitre, and Azeez Al-Shaair were among the players with the most tackles in double digits. To’oTo’o had 13 tackles, while Pitre and Al-Shaair each had 10 tackles. Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. were also among the players with the most sacks, each having 1.5 sacks.
Houston's pressure caused Williams to struggle with his final two drivers, as he frequently overthrew his receivers when there were four or more defenders blitzing him. Despite this, the quarterback managed to complete 23 out of 37 passes for a total of 174 yards. However, he has yet to throw a touchdown pass in his first two games.
The Texans’ offense wasn’t exactly scoring at will.
Nico Collins received a touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud, who was 23-of-36 with 260 passing yards.
In the past three games, Collins has consistently recorded at least 100 yards receiving, totaling 335 yards in that time frame.
Keenan Allen was not playing, but Rome Odunze had two catches for 33 yards, while D.J. Moore led the team with six catches for 53 yards.
With the win, Houston moved to a 2-0 record for the year, while Chicago slipped to 1-1.
