Tulsi Gabbard expresses her willingness to be part of a potential Trump administration.
Last month, Gabbard became a member of Team Trump, along with third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, expressed her willingness to serve in a potential Trump administration on Planet Chronicle Digital on Monday.
Gabbard, an active-duty military veteran who completed two tours in the Middle East and currently serves as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, expressed her desire to work in a position where she can make the greatest impact, particularly in areas related to foreign policy or national security.
At a campaign fundraising event in Atlanta, Gabbard stated that she believes she can have the greatest impact in national security and foreign policy, and work towards the changes that President Trump talks about. She added that she aims to put an end to the influence of the military industrial complex, prevent World War III, and bring the US back from the brink of nuclear war. Gabbard believes that war should be a last resort and has supported former President Trump's plans to end the war in Ukraine.
Between 2013 and 2016, Gabbard served as the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee and supported candidates such as Sen. Bernie Sanders and President Biden. However, she left the party after disagreeing with a shift within it and became more friendly with the GOP before joining Trump's transition team last month.
"Gabbard stated on Monday that she frequently encounters various individuals in diverse locations daily who were once Democrats or are leaving the party. These individuals share similar experiences and beliefs as Gabbard and recognize that the current Democratic Party does not align with their values of freedom, civil liberties, and peace."
The former Democratic congresswoman has criticized the Harris administration for its approach to diplomacy with U.S. adversaries, arguing that it is necessary to engage in diplomacy to maintain peace around the world.
""President Trump did what President Obama and Biden refused to do, and what Kamala Harris has made clear she refuses to do - which is to engage in diplomacy by going out and talking to adversaries," Gabbard stated."
Gabbard contended that peace will continue to elude the White House until its leaders engage in diplomacy. Moreover, she criticized Harris for intensifying the conflict in Ukraine and being dismissive of the possibility of a nuclear catastrophe.
"The longer this war continues and the more that Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and the neocons of Washington escalate it, the greater the risk of a potential nuclear war, World War III," Gabbard stated on Monday. "It is unconscionable and unacceptable that those who are escalating the war in Ukraine are so flippant about the reality of nuclear war."
