Trump has vowed to safeguard cities from a "migrant invasion" by reducing various migrant programs if he gets re-elected, while the ongoing discussion about Haitian migration continues.

Trump announced on Sunday via social media that he would promptly put an end to the migrant infiltration of America as President.

Trump has pledged to secure the southern border and has previously promised to launch a mass deportation effort. Last week, he stated that he wants to be recognized as the "border president."

On Sunday, he shifted his focus to broader migration policies, some unrelated to the southern border or illegal immigration, such as ending the Biden administration's use of humanitarian parole and suspending refugee resettlement.

He announced that all migrant flights will be halted, all illegal entries will be ended, the Kamala phone app for smuggling illegals (CBP One App) will be terminated, deportation immunity will be revoked, refugee resettlement will be suspended, and Kamala's illegal migrants will be returned to their home countries (also known as remigration).

During the recent influx of Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, the issue of migrants eating pets and animals was brought up in the presidential debate.

"In Springfield, the people who arrived are consuming the pets of the residents."

Officials in Springfield have stated that there is no evidence or substantiated reports of incidents involving the influx of more than 12,000 migrants from an impoverished country. However, local residents have expressed concern and anger about the impact that this influx has had on their community.

The Biden administration has expanded or created new pathways for legal entry or stay in the U.S., which were previously limited by Trump's proposals.

Trump's mention of migrant flights may pertain to the Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan parole procedures, which allow up to 30,000 migrants from these countries to enter the US each month and be paroled for 18 months. Trump has the power to terminate the CHNV program and restrict the renewal of parole authorization.

Trump and Mayorkas have discussed ending "deportation immunity" for Temporary Protected Status, which allows nationals of designated countries to remain in the US and work legally. The City of Springfield has stated that approximately 12,000-15,000 immigrants from Haiti reside in the city and arrived via parole, with TPS providing them with protection.

Trump also stated that he would put an end to the "Kamala phone app" - the CBP One app. The app, which was introduced during the Trump administration, was later expanded by the Biden administration to allow migrants to schedule appointments for parole into the U.S. at ports of entry. Currently, approximately 1,450 migrants are being paroled into the U.S. daily through the app. Republicans have argued that its usage constitutes an abuse of parole, which is limited to a case-by-case basis for significant public benefit or urgent humanitarian need.

Under President Biden, the cap for refugee resettlement has expanded to 125,000, compared to the lows seen under the Trump administration, where it was capped at just 15,000 a year.

Trump declared in his social media post that he will save cities and towns in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and across America. #MAGA2024!

The Biden administration's plans for dealing with the southern border crisis would differ greatly from those of the previous administration, which had expanded its "lawful pathways" strategy and criticized Trump for not supporting a bipartisan bill that would have increased funding to border agencies and limited some arrivals into the U.S. if they reached a certain level.
