During his victory speech at Trump Headquarters early Wednesday morning, Donald Trump, the projected President-elect, stated that "God spared my life for a reason."
Since July, Trump, who has been the target of two assassination attempts, expressed his gratitude for a potential second presidency during his 25-minute speech from West Palm Beach, Florida.
"Trump stated that God saved his life to restore America to greatness and that they would accomplish this mission together."
He stated: "The task ahead will not be simple, but I will pour all of my energy, spirit, and determination into the mission you've assigned to me."
On July 13, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the first assassination attempt on Trump's life occurred.
At a rally, a 20-year-old gunman fired around eight shots at Trump, injuring the 45th president's ear and killing firefighter Corey Comperatore. Two other men were also wounded.
On Oct. 5, Trump resumed his rally in Butler and focused on immigration and border security, three months after it concluded.
On Sept. 15, while playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump faced a second attempt on his life.
Trump was hurriedly removed from the golf course after Secret Service agents spotted a man in the bushes pointing an AK-47 through a chain-link fence one hole in front of him.
On Tuesday, Trump secured Pennsylvania, a crucial battleground state, in a significant victory that brought him closer to the 270 electoral votes required to win the 2024 presidential election.
