Rep. Thomas Massie is open to assisting Trump, but has not yet received any commitments or proposals from the Trump team.
Massie has previously stated that he believes he could make a positive impact as Secretary of Agriculture for any president.
While Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky has previously suggested serving as secretary of agriculture to help the nation, he stated in a post on X that he has not received a commitment or offer from the Trump team to assist with their agenda.
President Trump's victory secured a mandate for big ideas such as reversing chronic disease, conserving our land, and empowering American farmers. His campaign unified many neglected constituencies, including the Amish who want to grow healthy food and parents who want more access to nutritious food for their families, as stated by Massie in a post on X.
The President's team has not made any commitments or offers to me, and any discussion of the transition is premature, but I am ready and willing to assist him with his bold agenda to improve the health and well-being of Americans.
Previously, Massie expressed interest in serving as the secretary of agriculture.
In July, he tweeted that he believed he could make a positive impact as Secretary of Agriculture for any president.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, Massie told Planet Chronicle Digital that he had spoken with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Trump, and issued a statement on Friday, Oct. 25, endorsing Trump for president.
Trump has stated that he will allow Kennedy to have free rein on healthcare, nutrition, and pharmaceuticals.
"Kennedy stated in a post on X that President Trump had tasked him with three objectives: combating corruption in government health agencies, restoring them to evidence-based science, and ending the chronic disease epidemic."
An engineer, farmer, and inventor, Massie has advocated for changes to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In September, he tweeted about ending corruption in government and reforming the FDA, USDA, and CDC to provide people with real choices and honest information, free from corporate influence.
During the 2024 election, the congressman, who has been serving in the House for over a decade, was reelected.
In 2023, he supported Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president, but DeSantis later dropped out and endorsed Trump in January 2024.
On Thursday, Planet Chronicle Digital attempted to contact Rep. Massie for comment but did not receive a reply.
