The FAA confirmed on Tuesday that it had imposed two flight restrictions due to suspicious drone activity near President-elect Trump's golf club in New Jersey.
On November 18th, the FAA received reports of drone activity near Morris County, which is located approximately two miles north of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Somerset County.
In response to requests from "federal security partners," the agency issued two temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) and multiple reports of drone sightings persisted in Central Jersey this week.
The area near Solberg-Hunterdon County Airport, which includes airspace above Trump Bedminster, is covered by one restriction. Additionally, flights are prohibited over Picatinny Arsenal, a significant U.S. Army base in Dover, N.J., focused on research and development through its CCDCAC armaments center.
The ban on visitors to Trump Bedminster and Picatinny Arsenal will continue until December 26th.
The FAA stated on Tuesday that safely incorporating drones into the National Airspace System is a top priority.
The agency investigates unauthorized drone operations and can revoke certification and impose fines of up to $75,000 on drone pilots who endanger aircraft or people.
The area's continued drone activity is being investigated by law enforcement, according to local media reports.
Reports of sightings have been made in Mendham and Parsippany, which are located a few miles north of Bedminster, near the intersection of I-80 and I-287.
On Sunday night, a Parsippany woman claimed to have observed up to five drones flying overhead.
Sheriff James Gannon of Morris County informed New Jersey Patch that there is currently no immediate threat to the public and requested the public to provide law enforcement with clear images of the drones.
The FBI's Newark field office and New Jersey State Police are currently being investigated.
The U.S. Army's garrison at Picatinny and Team Trump were also contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital for comment.
Unidentified drones have been spotted over British-American joint bases in the UK, leading to reports of drone sightings in New Jersey.
Fighter jets at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Fairford, and RAF Feltwell in England have been observed in the presence of swarms of small drones.
On November 26, a Pentagon spokesman stated that none of the incursions affected the base's buildings, personnel, or assets, as the British military sent dozens of personnel to protect the bases.

A man was detained and the show resumed about 10 minutes later, according to Detroit Police.
